New Ph.D. Positions Available:
Multiple Ph.D. positions are available in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Case Western Reserve University to conduct numerical simulations of biological and physiological flows. Financial support for tuition and stipend will be provided. The ideal candidates are expected to have a strong background in numerical methods and programming skills. Previous in-house code development experience is strongly preferred. The candidate is expected to start in Fall 2025. The review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until they are filled out.
Qualifications and Skills:

Strong programming skills using Fortran is strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and computational methods
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines.

A thesis-based Master’s degree is preferred.

GRE Quantitative section >=165 and Analytical writing >=4.0

TOEFL>=95 or IELTS>=7 (for international applicants only)
